the bog oak came from reclaimed roof rafters from a traditional thatched Irish cottage near cloonfad in co roscommon as well as being 6/8000 years old has had a human story for over 100 years in the rafters of the cottage until reclamation and renovation in 2017
This pen captures the story of the rebirth of the phoenix. The mythical flames burst into life at the tip with the re-born phoenix taking flight at the top. The phoenix’s tail becomes the clip. Amber crystals on the clip and cap add to the majesty of this regal creature
